What's up with Revit 2011?

Lots . . . I kind of don't know where to start. There are many feature lists out there, and very comprehensive rundowns of the whole release. Loads of bells and whistles to look at, but I'm going to really just be talking about a few things for a long time: Adaptive Components, Division by Intersects, and Reporting Parameters.

All parametric/All the time. There's much to say, please stay tuned.

Here's some stuff I made over the last few months.

  2. I have the stair AC in action and it's really impressive, could this be the way forward for stairs in Revit?

  4. would you mind posting a tutorial or example of how you created some of these components. I am a graduate student at Clemson University and am working on a project in which I am trying to create a similar wall to your second image (white brick looking thing). It would be great if you would share your wisdome! Looks great!

  5. The brick wall form can be made using a similar method to that shown in: http://buildz.blogspot.com/2010/07/orthogonal-on-placement-making-brick.html

The rainbow colored surface is discussed here:

The deforming rectangular profile frame tutorial is here:

And the last image is made on this post

  6. Zach,

Thanks so much for redirecting me to an earlier post. I have another quick question if you don't mind. I created a mass in my revit file with the spline tool and then gave it a form. Then applied the family like your post suggest. However, I need to add punched openings to the facade. Because its not a wall I can't add windows and such. I tried to edit the mass in place and create a void but it won't let me do that either. Do you have any suggestions?

    Thanks so much!
